Membership

CBiRC continues to foster long-term partnerships with it's existing industry members as well as reaching out to new industry members. The overall aim is to facilitate technology transfer, guide the research program, and accelerate commercial application. The Industry Collaboration and Innovation Program offers many benefits including:
  • Opportunities to stay informed through monthly newsletters whilst networking and collaborating with internationally recognized academic and private leaders.
  • Unique members-only access to faculty and students working in leading research programs funded by NSF. This can include student mentoring and internships options as well as industrial visiting scholars.
  • Access to CBiRC's members-only Intranet accessing summaries of exciting new developments in the Center. This provides early access to ideas, publications, and know-how in the biorenewable chemistry sector.
  • A royalty-free license for internal, noncommercial purposes providing an opportunity to assess new technologies developed in the center.
  • Full members receive priority notification of CBiRC inventions and have an option to negotiate a royalty bearing commercial license for such technology.
  • Sponsoring members develop their own portfolio of unique projects tailored to their specific business interests.
  • All members have exclusive membership rights to be a part of CBiRC’s Industry Advisory Board. Members recommend testbed design and target compounds and intermediates.
